It is shipped unripe with maturation times from 5 to 10 days, to keep them in the fridge for a long time, to accelerate ripening it will be enough to mature at room temperature placing them in a fruit bowl with apples (which release naturally ethylene, gas useful to accelerate the fruit ripening).
The Hass variety is considered the most delicious in the world, in Italy where the importation of smooth-skin varieties is more widespread is erroneously underestimated. The fruit is appreciated for the firm and more flavorful pulp of the other varieties and is characterized by wrinkled skin and its color change from green to violet-black when optimal ripeness.
